"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Jeff, following your logic here, EVERYONE that is a believer in Pensacola who needs help we should help??? This is why every Christian needs to be a committed part of a local church.

Jeff Scott

I am a committed part of THE CHURCH living with a single father who is not any sort of church member. The housemates fell way behind on bills before I moved in to help. We're climbing back up but we could use a hand, and forgive me if this comes off rude but is the rest of 2 cor 9 "...if the recepient meets all requirements"? No worries though nothing like adversity to make one stronger. Thanks for the lead on united ministries. Be blessed.

Jeff, the Benevolence fund is given by Harvest members to help out those who are a committed part of the church who have suffered hardship, esp single moms. The gifts are given under that expectation. Have you tried United Ministries?

So... me and my roomates havent had gas for months (since I moved in), which means improvised hot showers and cooking. One of my roomies keeps his son on weekends. Some benevolence would be nice. We'll be able to manage if noone can help, It will just take time. Just thought I'd lob one up and see if anyone wanted to knock it out of the park! Id be glad to explain the situation to anyone who might be willing to help.
