Sis Debbie

My brittle diabetic sister, Gerri Margaret, was called home to Heaven on Aug 17th,2010, so suddenly I had no idea as she went into a low blood sugar. Husband found her submerged in tub at 6:30. Last reading on her meter was 41 at 4PM. Had just talked to her many times that AM on the phone. All the close calls she had in her 50 years of low spells, she was not to be rescued this time. It was a shock and still I miss her as I know she is with the Lord Jesus whom she loved while on earth and spoke of to others wherever she went. Bible verse comes to my mind--"to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."IICor.5:8. She is at peace and rest. No more headaches or struggles with high and low blood sugars! Maybe God has put her to work anew, taking care of his Heavenly Hosts or baking cakes again as she loved to do here. Who knows if we just praise Him all the time or if we are put to work again? Maybe it is eternal rest. But that would be boring!!!

One of my relatives told me that my grandmother's experience was very similar to this one as she began passing over. Thanks, I really enjoyed this one.

Jim Mather

The forever place we call heaven should be at the center of our decision making process every day. His kingdom come, his will be done, on earth, as it is, in heaven.

Wow! That was beautiful, Pastor Bobby! Thank you for sharing and thanks a lot for making my eyes fill up with tears at work! :P
