One of the most fascinating passages of the Bible is found in the book of Daniel. There we get a glimpse 'behind the scenes', so to speak, of what is in fact happening in the spirit realm.
Daniel has been praying for an extended period of time, seeing no visible results whatsoever. What he doesn't see is the war his prayers have unleashed in the spirit realm.
On earth, the Persian empire, a ruthless, satanically inspired kingdom is firmly entrenched. But in the heavenly realm, Daniel's prayers have in fact empowered the angels of the Lord to battle these demonic spirits that have held up the wicked Persian empire for so long.
For many years, there has been an 'oppression' over the Gulf Coast, holding things back in the natural realm as well as spiritual. I don't have time to go into detail here, but much prayer has gone up to see this overturned. The hurricanes of 2004 to 2005 seemed to be a turning point, an end to a season, possibly the beginning of a new season?
My sense is that it indeed is a turning point for us.
On this thing of turning the tide, I was watching Fox News Monday night. The ticker read that the Haitian witch doctors have been having trouble connecting with the spirits they had formerly called upon since the earthquake. They state there is too much resistance.
Has the tide been turned in the heavenly realms for Haiti? The next 20 years will tell, just as they will here on the Gulf Coast.
As for me, I choose to believe we have indeed, turned the tide. And I am taking as a piece of my 'evidence' my beloved Saints. :) Whether they win the Super Bowl or not, the tide has turned, the 40 year (a generation) curse, BROKEN!
To new beginnings.....
