- It's a NEW DAY!!!!! The Saints broke the "40 Year Curse" and are Super Bowl bound. I loved listening to the Saints announcer as the kick went thru the uprights, screaming his lungs out: "Hell has frozen over!!! Hell has frozen over!!!! Hell has frozen over!!!!..."
- I literally sat on my sofa, choking back tears. The only way to describe it for us die hard Saints fans is to remember when you first saw "Revenge of the Jedi", the 3rd Star Wars movie when they finally turned over the rule of the Empire. Or maybe when the curse was broken over Middle Earth in Lord of the Rings..??!!? :)
- This is cool: The kicker who kicked the 42 yard field goal to win it woke up the night before and called his dad at 2:30am to tell him, "'Dad, I think I'm gonna kick the game-winner, 42 yards by the right hash.' The first thing he said was, 'You should be sleeping.'
- He NAILED it!!!!!
- Boudreaux joke Sunday for sure!!! :)
- To finish my 'Saints Rant' for today, let me say no apologies here! I watched my 1st Saints game at my uncle's restaurant when I was 6 years old, while my parents and relatives yacked it up. It was the Tom Dempsey 67 yard field goal game. The guy had half a foot and had to wear a special shoe. Never forgot it. I watched them faithfully for all those years: Archie Manning, Ken Stabler, Chuck Muncie.....on and on and on. This has been a heck of a long time coming.
- OK.....something else happened on Sunday.....hmmm......:)
- We finished out our "School of Faith" series with a FANTASTIC message by Pastor Rich! I got to hear it twice. Lots of meat in this one!! His approach, that we need to go back to WHO God is and get grounded in that, was fantastic as far as when we face suffering.
- Big Idea? "We need to know what we believe about suffering BEFORE we go through suffering." Full of great insights and hilarious stories! www.harvestpensacola.com
- This coming Sunday, will be one you dont want to miss! I will be unveiling the design of our building, the Plaza Centre and we will be 'officially' beginning our trek toward moving into our OWN facility, hopefully by year end!
- And for all the 'naysayers' out there, just remember one thing: The SAINTS!!!!!!!!!! "All things are possible to those who believe"!!!! :)
Have a GREAT week!
PB
This week really touched Anita and I as far as Knowing before Going through. Rich really did an excellent job.
On a lighter note about OUR SAINTS. They started 3 years before I came to be BORN. Watched them all my life from various seats in the Superdome, watched people kick scream and cuss and wear paper bags on their heads, watched the then LA Rams stand in our way, and now I can say in my lifetime that the Saints are IN THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOO!!!...... do I sound excited? lol
When I woke up on Monday I ran to the computer to make sure I did not dream it all.

I have a lot of respect for faithful Saints fans who have had a painful history. Congratulations and as you say with the Saints in the Super Bowl truly ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

So in the last 19 seconds when it was 4th and inches to go, I said a prayer out loud for God to do something miraculous - "please Lord, just make some little thing happen to change the way this is going", and next...a 5 yard penalty against the Vikings, and then a toss away by Favre!!!! Thank You!!!!!!!!! OT, sudden death, and plenty of room for the Saints to breathe a Big Easy sigh....
