Pastor Bobby,

Your comments below are so dead on! I remember when I first became a Christian I wanted to be seen and noticed ... it was all about me ... however, as the years have gone by, I have learned that preaching and teaching is a privilege with a lot of responsibility. As we humble ourselves, He will lift us up in due time ... when we are ready to do what He wants us to do, when He wants us to do it, the way He wants us to do it, the doors of promotion will open ;o) Great word Pastor Bobby!!!

Too many people just want the spotlight. They want to 'preach'. They want to teach. If you have the gift, your gift will find a way. Trust me, it will.

But you won't lust for the spotlight. You will fear, knowing you will be held accountable for what you teach. It will be a matter of faithfulness, not craving for some way to find an identity apart from Christ Himself.

So rich PB! This makes us question the motive of "why" we do what we do or say what we say. God help us to fear...
