- Friday night's Mens Meeting was a home run! It was by far our funnest yet and Scott did a great job putting it together. The food was off the charts good: Wings, open-faced beef sandwiches, homemade supreme pizza.....
- If you werent there, you missed probably the ONLY time you could have heard Pastor Roger and I sing "Sweet Home Alabama". The band tore it up, but by far us singing was the highlite....... I am expecting record offers any day now.....:).....REALLLY jj..!!! :)
- Jack had a message on "The Making of A Man" that was memorable. The story he told about "now you own him" was a keeper.....
- Sunday morning at the Rave was the worst yet for technical difficulties. We had wanted to shoot Jennifer's piece on the big screen. Not happening. The sound. A mess in preservice. Will? Pneumonia. Steve and Hassett did a great job stepping up.
- I felt a powerful anointing as I preached.....unusual, even. Since our Awakening Fast in January I have been sensing divine 'weight' upon the messages. I know it is beyond me.
- Felt God's heart deeply as I spoke to those physically abused by dads. Unbelievably, 1 out of every 3 girls under 25 have been abused. Grievious beyond words.....I believe many were majorly touched yesterday morning!
- The creative monologue Jennifer did to open the message was POWERFUL! I asked her to write something Monday afternoon, prayed over her, and by that evening she had it done. We filmed it so it may find its way here.
- The picture I opened with was AMAZING! An actual cancer in the moments it was metasticizing.....Life magazine gets better and better in their photography.
- Talked with Craig last night. They had 140! He has really turned that church around in Norfolk and made it "Harvest" in every sense of the word. He will be speaking first Sunday in April. It will be great to see him again.
- "Slumdog" won best movie. You HAVE to see that movie! The dance at the end is pure joy.
Have a great Monday!!
PB
lot of teachable moments from Slum Dog from the perspective of God's heart for the hurting... you might want to use some clips from it when it comes out on DVD
