Sunday morning I spoke on "Praying the Way Jesus Prayed". I had not slept well the night before and felt out of synch, but have learned that doesnt really matter: "In my weakness, He is made strong."
The message went along, but about 20 minutes into it, I began to talk about starting our times of prayer with Psalm 100, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving, come into His courts with praise". I spontaneously broke into worship and prayer, demonstrating what this looks like.
Suddenly, He was there. The immediacy of the Holy Spirit. I can't explain it, but it is like warm oil that takes your breath away for a moment. When God is present, you are more settled and secure in that moment than anything this earth can give.
It lasted for but a brief moment. I did not plan or expect it, but it was like God saying, "Let me SHOW you what you are teaching about!"
Very, very awesome..!! :)
BTW, if you want to hear the message, go to our website, click on media. The moment was when I began talking about how to pray to get God's attention.
To more of His Presence,
PB
I felt that moment also and it took my breathe away, then a sigh, the it seemed you just sailed thru the rest of the sermon. it was a WOW day!!!
