A few people sent this piece on Oprah Winfrey this week. It seems she has really latched on to Eckart teaching, which is recycled, "new age", goop that basically tells people that YOU are God.
No sin......no cross....no heaven....no hell....
Scary.
Back when I 1st became a Christian, Eckart teaching was being pushed in the college I attended. I attended a seminar, and within 10 minutes knew it was heretical garbage, and promptly left. But I was shocked at how many stayed and listened. At least 500.
The Bible says that in the last days, there will be "seducing spirits, teaching 'doctrines of demons'". Oprah does a lot of good things and is by far and away one of the best communicators in the world. But hooking up with Eckart and promoting this hellish lie, ......assisting to deceive millions......
"What sorrow awaits those who lead people into sin. Temptations are bound to come, but what sorrow awaits that person who does the tempting. It would be better to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sin than to lead one of those little ones who trusts in Me to fall away...." (Matt 18)
Jesus' words. Not mine.
Take the 6 minutes to watch this piece on what is happening.....

I had been a long time fan of Oprah, but since moving to Gulfport I haven't seen her show, we don't get "local" channels on DirecTv. I was surfing thru one of my mom message boards and ran across a post about Oprah's "Pregnant Man" show. So out of curiosity had to check it out. After watching the YouTube on the Pregnant Man, I surfed thru a few more things about her and came across this "The Church of Oprah" thing. I thought surely I was reading it wrong....Oprah has her own church. Curiousity killed the cat and I had to watch it. I couldn't believe my ears!!! I lost all respect for her, and I don't know exactly which part made me react the way I did, but I am NOT subscribing to anything that she offers. I already am unable to watch her show, so that wasn't a problem, but I think what bothered me the most is that she denounced Christ. It just boggles my mind and here I am thinking, she is so "open-minded", but after watching this, I have that "things that make you go Hmmmm" going on.
May God Bless her and her followers that their eyes will be open to the lies of Satan, and they come RUNNING back to Jesus Christ!!!
Take care,
God Bless,
Julie D

If Oprah's sphere of influence is based upon her fame & her fame is what finances her disemination of such deception then what disturbs me most is knowing how large a portion of her sphere of influence is comprised of believers!
I wonder (for example) if the woman who defended the "Jesus IS the only way" view point (or any of the other atendees who agreed with her), decided after this tapping to never again put their money into the cup-of-O.
Did she stop attending the tapings, stop watching her show, remove herself from the book club, refuse to purchase her magazine or any of the others that slap Oprah's face on the cover in an attempt to sell more copies?
If Edmond Burke was right when he said
"All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing."
What DO we do when someone millions look up to (for performing genuinely good deeds) decides to lead a nation into a nicely packaged deception of idolatry?
Any ideas?

I have to say I am completely disturbed by this. Hasn't the question always been the preaching of "tolerance" vs. truth.

How frightening and sad. Dave posted this on his myspace and all I have to say is, wow. It's scary to think how massive her platform is and how much of influence she has in people's lives. How satan deceives so well...
