Right now im in michigan with all of my family for a wedding/family reunion... my family is crazy... i love them but they get out of hand. I say this as i sit at the hotel while everyone is up in the room partying... older cousins offering me beer, ciggaretes, pot. this is all happening right now!!! drugs alchohol and sex... temptations run high... fire is a crazy thing.. I know that if i were to take any of that stuff i would not come back to pensacola the same. i would be hooked.. just helping you realize that the temptation is realy out there with the youth, your children... pray for us everyday.

Its like the story I heard some time ago of how to cook a frog. You do not just turn the fire on high or the frog will just jump out of the pot. They put the frog in the water and turn the heat up slowly, letting the frog feel comfortable in the water and its warm feeling. By the time the frog realizes its gotten too hot he cannot even move and his "goose" is cooked.
If the enemy came out full force and let us see his ugly head and the destruction he can cause we would know to run away. But when we let the heat turn up slowly and do a little sin here and a little sin there, before you know it your whole life is cooked.

I'll start off by saying I totally agree 100%. I will also add that I too have fallen into that what PB is speaking of. Those of us who were not raised to "go to church" are especially sensitive to a falling away. I had a dire prayer answered last late spring...God motivated me to focus MORE on getting my place ready on the property that my folks gave me. The problem is...flesh stepped in. WAY!! to much "me" came into play. The next thing I knew...no fellowship...pffft!!!....just get it done get done...get it done...get it done...so that I could be finished with my home. It's funny sometimes when you look back and see how foolish your actions were. I'm getting back on track now.

GREAT POST ! I THINK SOME OF OUR YOUTH SHOULD READ PASTOR BOBBY'S BLOG . TAKE THE GUY OR GIRL WHO WANTS TO TRY SMOKING POT BECAUSE HIS OR HER FRIENDS SAID THAT IT WAS JUST A LITTILE WEED AND NO BIG DEAL.WELL AFTER AWHILE THAT JOINT DOES NOTHING FOR YOU AND YOU MOVE TO HARDER DRUGS, CRACK, METH, ETC. NEXT THING YOU KNOW YOU ARE DOING WHATEVER TO GET YOU'RE FIX, AND YOU ARE NOW FRIENDLESS, HOMELESS,AND YOU HAVE UPSET YOUR'E FAMILY SO MUCH THAT ALL THEY CAN DO NOW IS PRAY AND HOPE YOU WILL LEARN THE ERROR OF YOUR'E WAYS.BY THE TIME YOU NOTICED ALL OF THIS JUST LIKE THE FIRE STORY..IT HAS BURNED MORE THEN YOU WILL EVER KNOW AND IT VERY WELL MAY BE TOO LATE. JUST MY 2 CENTS WORTH. TAKE CARE JEFF.
