What a week!
I got back Saturday afternoon and literally had 5 minutes to throw my luggage in the house and head out to see my now 'not so little girl', Brittany, off for her Senior Prom. From there, we met Francis and Babs Martin for dinner at 8:30pm, only to go full out on Sunday all over again.
I sat down to post to my blog last night at 11pm,.....only to have the storm knock out the electricity, which was down til 6am. Man, was that a great storm or what??!! We had our flashlites on watching out of window at midnite....good stuff! :)
Finally, I am able to catch up and will be doing so for the rest of the week.
I have LOTS to catch you guys up on and will do it for the rest of the week. But today is set aside for one thing: Honoring my eldest princess, Brittany.
I am so proud of her. When I saw her come out of the room with her prom outfit, hair all done up, statuesque in every way......wow......that is my little girl, is about all I could think. She and her friends rented a limo and instead of going out for dinner, then went to each parents home for a portion of the meal. ,...different thanThese are amazing kids I was at that age.....thank you Lord God!!!! :)
Last night Brittany graduated not only with her high school diploma, but Magna Cum Laude from PJC with her AA degree to boot. She finished with a 3.80 average! 2 of us dads will be escorting our girls down to Orlando week after next for their Senior Trip, as the check in age is 21. They werent initially thrilled with "dads" coming along, but we promised to not pester them while down there.....and besides...they needed us! :)
I will be catching up on the past week and reflections as things have settled in the next few days. Its good to get away, but its great to get back as well......!
Grace,
PB
CONGRATULATIONS, BRITTANY!!! It's hard to believe you've graduated...it's hard to believe I've been gone from there two years...anyway, WAY TO GO! Have a great time in Orlando!

Finally! I keep checking this blog. Neat idea they had for the prom. We slept through the storm. We had plants knocked over and limbs down...I woke up James and said: "I think it rained last night..."
