As some of you know, my 'little sis', Denise, had her 2nd baby last week, Rachel Marie. Marie is my mom's name. I can't begin to tell you how much I love newborn's little hands.....if you look closely, you can see her little hand gripping my finger real tight....! :)
Just to give some of you hope, my sister, Denise, prayed to receive the Lord when she was 13, a month or so after I came to Christ. She transferred to a Christian school and became disillusioned with so many of the kids who were 'supposed' Christians and within a short time, began to get caught up in drugs and guys. From 16 until just a few years ago, she went from abusive relationship to abusive relationship, caught in a web with all the ''hell'' that comes with it.
2 years ago, she asked me if I would perform her wedding, that she was marrying a guy named Rich. We went to New Orleans where she was married on the Creole Queen, barefooted and all, in 20 some degree weather. It hasnt been perfect, but, her husband loves her, loves their 2 beautiful kids, and is open-hearted.
Denise has broken free of the "web". She is on her way to a better and better life.
All that to say, 20+ years of praying by Deb and I have not been in vain. Don't give up on those you love. The words of Jesus in Luke 18:1-8 have encouraged me to "pray and not lose heart". Take some time to soak His words in yourself this weekend.
Finally, DONT FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS FORWARD 1 HOUR SATURDAY NIGHT!!!! :)
Church has been wonderful lately, very intimate, very alive with the Presence of God..... See you there @ 5pm !

We have a niece Rachel Marie and she just was chosen Miss FSU!!! She is a fine Christian women who aspires to becoming a Dr.(atten Vanderbilt). You can begin praying now for your Rachel Marie to love God and be saved and have a loving husband someday but most of all that she will stay in God's will for her life as she desires to please Him all the days of her life.
