Well, I did it......shopping that is.
Finished up buying gifts this afternoon and remembered WHY I am not a big fan of the holiday shopping experience....namely, bumper to bumper traffic all around the mall and Airport Blvd. But 'it is finished', PTL, and now we settle in and enjoy. We have our Christmas Staff party here at our home at 7 tonight. No other plan but to eat and just hang out and laugh together!
This will be my last post of 2005. After our Christmas Service (5:00pm Sunday night...!) we will be packing and heading early Monday morning to visit family in LA for the next week. I will be enjoying our hometown in Lafayette and taking a hiatus from blogging for a week.
I am very much looking forward to 2006. I had a great conversation with State Farm today on our building situation....stay tuned!! I will be sharing all the news at our January 8th service. Don't miss it!
Deb and I truly do love you guys and thank you for being a part of our lives. One thing I have learned in this journey is that great relationships make for a great life. We indeed have a great life.
You may have seen this, but if you havent, this is by far and away the best "Christmas house" in the nation, if not the world. The guy who did it is an IT engineer in Cincinatti. He programmed the lights to go with the music that is broadcast on an fm signal for people to listen to in their cars. The 8 minutes is worth every second, as what he has done is amazing. I am meeting with some of our techies in January to see how we could do something similar next year, Lord willing....
Enjoy the show....and see you here in 06! PB
o.k. I have to say that little video was pretty amazing!!
