A few months back, as I was running one day, the Holy Spirit whispered to me, "The winds have shifted." I suddenly realized that from that point, the things we have been doing that were so hard will now become easier and easier.
The winds of favor are a wonderful thing indeed. This past Sunday you could feel it in the air. Hard to explain, but the winds have indeed shifted. Here are a few verses I shared January 1st for this coming year. I encourage you to print them and make them your own, claiming them for your own life and family:
Psalm 5:12
Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
Psalm 84:11
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
Psalm 90:17
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.
Psalm 102:13
You will arise and have compassion on your people, for it is time to show your favor; the appointed time has come.
Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor…..
