48.......that does'nt seem old. If you are 48 or older. But if you are in your 20's or younger??
It seems ANCIENT. :)
I remember thinking as a 12 year old about becoming 30. That was OLD. Now, 90 seems old.
Life is all about perspective, right???
Some random thoughts from the past week:
- All the birthday wishes on Facebook flat blew me away. Seriously, if a man's wealth is measured by friends, I am rich.
- Deb had some friends and family over on Saturday. Very nice. My sis turned 43 on the 12th, me 48 on the 13th, so we celebrated together.
- Got some nice clothes from Deb and the kids and a number of gift certificates and CASH. Thanks guys.....I am thankful to each of you.
- Michael got me the most interesting gift: A membership to the ju-gitsu class on Palafox. I have not the least idea what I am going to do, but it will be fun I am sure~! :)
- One day, I will buy myself a ''gift" of a camera. Sony HX1 is what I am eyeing......
- Pastor Roger talked about "Sex" Sunday. Interesting comments and emails for sure......Shame is a major thing people seem to be dealing with.
- Thank God for the blood of Christ!
- The video intro for this Sunday is one of the funniest things I have seen in a LONG time! Seriously, ...funny stuff....
- Hassett did a GREAT job leading worship this past Sunday. Amazing to see how far he has come in just a few short years. God is faithful to lead us when we walk humbly in serving His people.
- Watched some of the Grammy Awards. 20 years ago, I saw Madonna push the envelope to places I never thought I would see. Lady Gaga makes Madonna look like a nun.
- My mind bends at thinking where the next 20 years can go. The grinding and perversity leave little unexplored.
- But I would have said that 20 years ago. Scary thought.......
- The Lady Antebellum song is 'ear worm' material. Song about a girl who gets drunk, but the vocals and hook stay in your head.
- Country music, I confess, has arrived. I never thought I would say that. I give in. It is mainstream now and taking over the world.
- I am heading to Orlando for a One Day Conference on Thursday with Andy Stanley and Craig Groeshel with Robert Pooley. Going to be rich, no doubt......
- I went up to the top of the theater Sunday to feel what it felt like from up there, 2nd service. SLAM PACKED, 2 seats open in the whole top area. Please, please, please.....
- Consider attending the 8:30 service to give us some room to grow. Guests all come at 10am and will leave if they cant find seats together with their family.
Love you guys!!!!
