Monday Musings 7/14
- Sunday was GREAT! Good, solid crowd at the Rave (especially since the Blue Angels were flying!) and the message by Perry Noble was fantastic. He is 100% a southern boy, but he can flat out deliver!
- My message Sunday was a real 'stinker'.....just kidding! :) I had a word given to me about 10 years ago that "when you feel the most, God will be doing the least....when you are feeling the least, God will be doing the most." If that is any indicator, God did ALOT last night!! :) I was flat out exhausted afterward, but it seems the message really spoke to alot of people. What do I know?? :)
- Funny.....Craig and I talk each Sunday night and review the day. He was the same, exhausted. He just finished doing the 7 Core Values and yesterday was on "T" Turned out to a lost and broken world.
- I spent 3 hours on the line with Delta, trying to redeem SkyMiles for our Italy trip next year. One year out, and they say "We dont have any seats available for that flight......nor that one...nor that one....." I finally just asked, "Well why dont we just start in reverse and you tell me what flights you DO have any seats for in April or May of next year????" Funny.....:)
- On a not so funny note......I just received 5 tickets from the Illinois Toll Authority for a total of about $500 worth of fines!!!!! It seems that 8 months ago (October), when we went to the MultiSite meeting, I passed up the toll boths that had no tenants and no signage on what to do if you had no cash on you. I called to refute it and they said that I could have paid the tolls (80 cents each) within 7 days, but since I didnt, they had tacked on daily penalties and fees beyond. As I told her, it would have been great getting a notice back in October and not in .......JULY!!!!! ????? Are you kidding me? Illinois is not very 'seeker-friendly' to us out of staters!!! :)
- I just saw President Bush is lifting the ban on offshore drilling. That may have been a good thing to do back when oil was $50 a barrel.....just over a year ago! :)
- Oh, Oh.....I can feel myself getting 'ornery'.... I need a good run to get the toll tickets out of my system....or a big pillow to do some "primal screaming" into. :)
Grace,
PB

And why didn't they write you a letter back in October?because they wanted more interest on monies owed!So sorry that happened to you. can it be forgiven? or must you pay the full $500. You would need a miracle. Why not pray for one?Loved SundayAM message. How do they choose the sermons that are presented?

I can relate to the TOLL deal. In New Jersey 2 years ago I apparently missed one out of several tolls ( a 35 cent toll). (You BETTER have a lot of change in S. New Jersey :) and again several months later was told I owed a ton of money related to the 35 cent toll I missed.... The letter cost them more to mail to me... any way I filed a protest letter (Stubborn) and they threatened me with a fine so I wrote the check...it's called taxation!
